Architect and designer, Augusto Antonio Viola holds a doctorate in human science (art and art-science), teaches at Paris I-La Sorbonne University and lives in France and Italy. He is a former expert for cultural affairs at the European Council in Strasbourg, a research officer for the French Ministry of Culture and the artistic director of Toton&Co, a contemporary design company. He presides over l'Atelier Toton, a non-profit association for the promotion of art, design and architecture studies. He regularly writes articles about design, art and architecture for the Italian press and is the Sole 24 Ore correspondent at the Art and Architecture Venice Biennales. He is the author of numerous books among which:  The cultural heritage and pedagogy for Europe, Armando, 2006;  Vitruve, le savoir de l’architecte, Geuthner, 2006;  “Tous les savoirs de l’architecture” in Art et savoir, de la connaissance à la connivence,  L’Harmattan;  Projeter l’ancien, L’Espérou, Montpellier 2004; D’une rue à une autre, European Council Publications, 2001. Scientific officer for Gallimard, he published a number of books about Italian cities. He creates design objects and accessories. He is the creator of the YUU system.

Delphine Parmenter is a people development and leadership professional. She works with corporate universities monitoring strategic change and the performance of executives. She's been running training programmes worldwide for over 15 years, including with the London Business School, the INSEAD and the training consulting firm StratX. French by birth, Delphine grew up in the United States. She teaches in French as well as in English.

Annamaria Ciarallo started her activity in Naples Botanical Gardens, then became expert biologist for the Italian Ministry of Culture. She's been Head of the Applied Research Laboratory of the Soprintendenza archeologica di Pompei and the driving force behind the scientific reconstruction of the ancient gardens and the restoration of Pompeii ancient vineyards and nurseries. She took an active part in the foundation of the Antiquarium of Boscoreale, “Man and environment in the Mount Vesuvius region in 79 AD”, and has organized numerous exhibitions among which: “Domus-Viridaria-Horti Picti”;  “HOMO FABER, Vinum et Vitrum”; “The Ancient Garden of Babylon in Rome”. She taught Bio- Archaeology at the Macerata University and took part in numerous conferences in Italy and abroad. She has collaborated with various scientific institutions such as the History of Science Institute in Florence, the Max Planck Institute and the environmental science departments of Barcelona, Tokyo and Kyoto universities. She is now involved in the archaeological reconstitution of the imperial gardens of the Palatine Hill in Rome. She is a Toton&Co associate, directing vertical gardens development projects.

Nando Formisano holds a doctorate in physical science, is a researcher at the Italian Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) and a specialist in materials science. He studied in Italy before associating with the most renown European research laboratories: CERN, Paul Scherrer Institute,  Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique and Institut Laüe Langevin in Grenoble where he is now posted. He first specialized in particle physics and studied  the creation of antimatter.  He now devotes himself to the study of fluids. He built the spectrometer placed on the European nuclear reactor in Grenoble. This device, of which he is in charge, aims at understanding excitations in matter. He is the author of over 50 scientific articles and heads several post-graduate training schools. In addition to his scientific activities, he collaborated on various artistic projects: he first wrote for the literary magazine “Le crochet de la Cédille”, interviewing Italian writers. Since the end of 2010, he is actively involved in the making of a documentary film, “The Walpoleans” as a handyman, cameraman and photographer. This film is set in Freetown (Sierra Leone) and shows how a
group of young disabled squatters seek to escape total marginalization through music. He's been a Toton&co collaborator for several years, taking an active part in the creation of its design pieces. His area of expertise includes test phases, prototype production and technical development. He is the proud father of three boys aged 4, 5, 6.
